Dam Road Closed for up to 14 days!

The road that runs over the Table Rock Dam will be closed starting on May 3rd for up to 14 days for repair.  The heavy rains from early last week caused a mud slide that eroded a section on a dirt slope north of the dam.  Due to this repair the main entrance to Chateau on the Lake will be closed.  You will be able to enter the Chateau through the back entrance on Route 265.  If you have any questions regarding repairs to the slope please contact the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Not even the flooding in Branson will stop the Tourist!

Branson Tourism is still on the rise and so are the lakes.  The recent flooding has not kept Branson visitors away, actually much to the contrary it has attracted visitors.  Many came to see the flood waters from the Table Rock Dam being released.  Some of the roads were blocked to the Dam but many visitors found alternate ways.  The closed roads were due to a landslide and officials stated that it has no affect on the safety of the Dam.  The Branson scenic overlook is another popular area for spectators that want to take a look at the overfilled lakes and areas of Branson.
